Another Kim Sun Ah & Lee Dong Wook drama. Lee Dong Wook looks so much older now after his army stint. Regardless, he is still very good looking.

Lee Yeon Jae lived most of her life as a timid turtle in a travel agency as an administrative clerk. She always worries about money and losing her job. Because of these two worries, she is a miser who doesn't care too much about her appearance, is single and living at home looking after her mother.  At work, she is taken advantaged of, verbally abused and her colleagues shows her no respect. She is very smart and comes up with great tourist ideas/concepts for the company, however, no one gives her credit and takes her ideas as their own. They give her the lowliest jobs and pushes her around. She is tolerate and says to herself it's ok because she needs this job to save money so she can look after her mother and get married some day.

Incidently, she gets into a car accident and has to go to the hospital for a check up. From this initial check up, she finds out later that she has gall bladder cancer. When reality finally hits her that she only has an anticipated 6 months to live, she had such regret. Regret for living the life she has for the past 30+ years.

Yeon Jae checks her bank account and realises she has saved up a lot of money over the past years, and decides to change the way she is living. She is going to enjoy her last days of living by doing the things she wants, eating the things she wants, and going on a holiday to treat herself.

She loses it at work and explodes when her manager abuses her and accused her of stealing an important client's ring. She quits her job and goes on a holiday in Okinawa in Japan. Shes goes on shopping sprees to buy pretty clothes, gets her hair and make up done and living life to her fullest.

At the hotel where she is staying, she sees the handsome son of her former boss, Kang Ji Wook who now is heir to the company. She had always thought he was very good looking and would never ever thought she had a chance with him. However, now? Who cares if he rejects her or not. She's only got 6 months to live, why the hell not give it a shot? She innocently stalks him on to a cruise boat. He mistakens her for being the tour guide he's been waiting for. Astonished, she pretends to be the tour guide. Luckily, she had read all the brochures and was able to explain everything to him and show him around!

From that initial meeting, they kept meeting and eventually falls in love. Complications arises as her illness becomes more critical. Other compliactions such as Im Se-kyung, a wealthy daughter of another travel company is arranged to Ji Wook to eventually marry. She was not interested in Ji Wook initially but seeing Yeon Jae with Ji Wook, she got jealous and tried to sabotage their relationship.

The relationship is put to the test when Ji Wook finds out about Yeon Jae's illness. The whole time she had not mentioned about her illness and kept it quiet from him and from her mother. What does he want do now that he knows? Does he want to be with a sick woman or move on?

The doctor who treats Yeon Jae turned out to be an old school mate of Yeon Jae's. He found her to be too blunt and talkative. He is someone who likes to do things the right way, a righteous person of little words and lives his life by routines. Initially he found Yeon Jae irritating. Over time, she taught him laughter, love and impulsiveness. He grew to love her and did everything he could as her doctor to try to cure her.

Yeon Jae, when she found out about her illness started a bucket list. She noted down everything she wanted to eat, things she wanted to do, places to travel to, and feelings she wanted to have and what she wanted to do for other people. Every time she completed one of them, she'll cross them off. This really touched me and after watching this drama, I decided to create a bucket list myself :)

She didn't pass away after the anticipated 6 months. She kept living. I think her life was prolonged because she was living a happy life and was loved. Who knows when she will die but to her, living every day is so precious.

Memorable characters and scenes from the drama: the tango instructor. He is a work colleague of Yeon Jae's, but moonlights as a tango instructor. At work, he's a bit of a meek loser to say harshly. At the dance studio, he is confident and has flair. It could be the wig he wears to cover his baldness in the studio? Hair (for a bald person) is confidence :)

In Korea and most asian countries, if you are over 30 years old and single, you are considered a spinster. Just how awful it must be to be living in those countries if you are a single matured woman. The pressure and harshness of having to get married by that age!

Junsun from JYJ plays a cameo role in this drama at his own concert. That was a nice touch. He sings one of the themed songs for the drama: You're So Beautiful.

The moral of this drama I feel, is that you should respect yourself, live life to the fullest and never take the small things in life for granted.

This drama was not brilliantly awesome; it was merely just enjoyable.

Rating: 3.5/5.
