I liked Kim Bum in Boys Before Flowers and decided to check out Dream. Cute fit guy and kickboxing, sounds like a great combination. He wasn't just a pretty boy, his acting is just as equal to his looks.

Nam Jae II was a talented sports agent until his down fall by one fatal mistake. Without the backing of the previous president of the prestigious sports agency he worked in, he was kicked out of the industry. Sports was his whole life. He was a professional baseball player who due to injury became a sports agent and he was good at it too. What was he to do now?

He met a young and rebellious pick pocketer  Lee Jang Suk and noticed that he had potential to be a great boxer. Jang Suk wanted to be a  K-1 Boxing champion and Nam Jae wanted to regain his reputation as a top sports agent again. Together, they convinced Park So Yeon to let them use her father's gym to practice to compete in competitions.

Other themes in the drama is of Jan Suk's relationship with his gambler father who is always in debt. The relationship between the two is of frustration & anger. There is development & love between the two in the end but a sad one. It talks about Jan Suk's unrequited love for So Yeon who only likes him as a younger brother and in turn is attracted to Nam Jae.

Kim Bum lost some weight and toned up for this drama. Loved his curly hairstyle in this drama (this sentence sounds a bit gay). He would've had to trained a bit to do this role.

I thought Son Dam Bi looked a bit weird. Her eyes didn't look too right. Could be that she had her eyes done. I wouldn't be surprised here. She is very athletic & toned which was right for the role of an aerobics instructor. She herself is in real life is a dancer/singer.

Another cutie to look out for was Kim Woong who played So Yeon's good friend who her father trained to be a boxer but left due to his desire to be a famous boxer with a more prestigious agency,  but in the end redeemed himself. Kim Woong seems to have disappeared from the acting scene. Probably gone back to modelling.

The OST in this drama was ok. A few of the songs I liked were: Countdown by ShiNee, Always by Someday, Moonlight 윤화재인, and Bobby Kim's 죽기 아니면 살기.

This drama was enjoyable but nothing stood out for me.

Rating: 3.5/5
