Korean RomComs are done very well. This is the third Kdrama I've seen with Kim Sun Ah. She is a great actress but somehow I've never been a big fan of hers.

In this drama, she (Hwang Ji An) is a very famous 36 year old shoe designer who is a likely candidate to become the president of the high end shoe company she works for. Her whole life is dedicated to her work. Whilst her career is very successful, she lacks in her social and personal life. She is single, rigid and not many of her reporting line likes her.

She bumps accidently (why do these accidents never happen in real life?) in to Park Tae Kang, a 26 year old shoe peddler (who has no tertiary qualifications but is a fun, decent, and hard working nice guy) and causes him to crash his motorcycle. They actually bump in to each other several times before they both ended up at a restaurant to eat, chit chat and drink soju. (Accidentally, the restaurant happens to be Tae Kang's friend, how coincidental.) The two gets really drunk and unknowingly has a one night stand.

Later on she finds out that she is pregnant. She decides to have the child because it might be her last chance of having kids as she's been told by the doctor that she has early menopause due to over working. Her gynecologist happens to be a man that her parents try to set her up with. He is around her age, a skilful doctor and is very attracted to her.

Tae Kang enters a shoe competition Ji An's company holds. He is selected to be the winner and ends up working at her company as an assistant all rounder who does all the jobs that no one wants to do such as make coffee, mops the floors, photocopying etc. Tae Kang, over time has great respect for Ji An and falls in love with her. When he finds out that Ji An is pregnant, he thinks the baby is Eun Sung's, the gyno.

A lot of funny, amusing things happen which you'll have to watch to laugh about it. Ji An has to decide who she wants to be with to father her child; the gyno doctor who is willing to marry her even if the child is not his or Tae Kang, who wants to marry her and thinks the child is Eun Sung's. Does Ji An want a man her age who she knows will look after her as he is reliable, responsible as well as financially stable, or  does she want to be with a 26 year old who has no money, a proper home or a high level job?

Without comparing assets between the two men, she chooses Tae Kang in the end because she was in love with him and off course he is the father of the child. Tae Kang has great potential and he has the talent to be a great shoe designer. In the end he opens up his own shoe store and Ji An after receiving a promotion leaves her prestigious on maternity leave to join him to run his store.

I liked this drama, it was funny.  Lee Jang Woo is so comical at times, especially when he laughs. He's fun, optimistic, caring, loyal, a genuine nice guy.

Favourite scene was at the park. They were both listening to music and fell asleep. Tae Kang wanted to kiss her while she was asleep but she woke up and he pretended there was a bug on her lip. He wiped it away and then used the same finger to wipe his lips so basically using his fingers to kiss her haha...There were a lot of funny scenes in this drama.

Another drama where an older woman hooks up with a very young guy. Go older women with younger men :) This drama also tells that pro and con lists are not always feasible and your decisions sometimes come from the heart.

OST: Ye-sung (Super Junior) – 꽃보다 그녀 That Girl Over Flowers; 이원석 (Daybreak) – 러닝맨 Running Man.

 I recommend this drama.

Rating: 4/5 ♥
